Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 is one of the most popular pickup trucks in the United States. It’s also a common name appearing in lemon law court filings. Complaints include issues with instrument panel displays, loss of power braking, and broken or damaged axle hub bolts and wire harnesses.

As of November 2025, the 2025 Ford F-150 was the subject of 31 complaints and ten active recalls, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Ford Explorer

Along with the Ford F-150, the Ford Explorer has appeared frequently in lemon law filings in California and other states this year. A review of recalls shows that Ford Explorers can have defects including visibility issues with the windshield, trailer hitch failures, and engine failures. 

The NHTSA listed 13 recalls and 44 complaints about 2025 Ford Explorer vehicle defects as of November 2025.

Tesla Model Y

The Model Y is Tesla’s most popular model worldwide. Despite its bestseller status, however, the Model Y appears to have a host of issues – as indicated by its frequent naming in lemon law filings. 

The NHTSA gives the 2025 Tesla Model Y a 5/5 safety rating overall. Yet the agency also lists 49 complaints, three active investigations, and two recalls for the vehicle as of November 2025. Recalls have been issued for rearview cameras that can fail and for tire inflation lights that don’t light up when the vehicle has pressure issues. 

Tesla Model 3

Tesla’s decision to pioneer electric vehicles has come with issues along the way. Nearly twenty years since the release of the first Tesla vehicle, however, the company still finds itself named in frequent lemon law claims. 

As of November 2025, the NHTSA had recorded three recalls and opened three active investigations for the 2025 Tesla Model 3. The agency had also received 67 separate complaints about Model 3 safety issues. 

Recalls focus on the Model 3’s faulty battery connections, rearview camera, and tire pressure sensor light. Complaints mention issues with the vehicle’s speed control, forward collision avoidance system, electrical systems, steering, suspension, power train, brakes, and structure. 

Hyundai Tucson

In lemon law court filings, the Hyundai Tucson is often mentioned alongside complaints of safety system problems. These include issues with the forward collision avoidance system engaging at the wrong times, which can cause an accident rather than preventing one. Hyundai Tucson-related lemon law filings also mention problems with the vehicle’s cruise control system.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is the subject of 87 NHTSA complaints and three active recalls. Recalls focus on loose engine bolts, improper wiring that can cause the vehicle’s park function to fail, and missing warnings that can leave drivers and passengers without essential safety information. 

Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler is a popular choice for those living in California’s more rural areas. Yet when the vehicle appears in lemon law claims, it’s often named alongside a long list of potential issues. 

Two official recalls have been issued to date for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler. They include problems with potential battery fires and with sensors not working as intended to warn drivers about dangerously low tire pressure. As of early November 2025, Jeep Wrangler owners had also communicated 24 complaints to the NHTSA. These complaints list problems with electrical systems, engines, fuel and propulsion systems, power trains, speed control, steering, braking, and the vehicle’s structure. 

Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been an iconic part of the Jeep brand since its introduction in April 1992. Recent model year versions, however, have shown a host of problems, as demonstrated by lemon lawsuit filings. 

By early November 2025, owners of 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokees had reported 10 separate complaints to the NHTSA. Many complaints named multiple vehicle systems or parts. Problem components included power trains, electrical systems, brakes, forward collision systems, windshield wipers, fuel and propulsion systems, steering, and hydraulics.
