issues, including
trademark, trade
secret, and copyright
issues. She also
is experienced in
negotiating and drafting
agreements relating
to technology and
intellectual property
licenses, services,
and purchases.
Prior
to joining Wirtz
Hellenkamp, LLP,
Ms. Hellenkamp
was associate general
counsel for Isis
Pharmaceuticals,
Inc., in Carlsbad,
California. Prior
to that, she was
an associate at Cooley
Godward, LLP, and
at Lyon & Lyon,
LLP, focusing on
intellectual property
litigation and patent
prosecution in the
area of biotechnology. Ms.
Hellenkamp received
her juris doctorate
from the University
of San Diego (J.D.
1996), where she
graduated cum laude,
Order of the Coif,
and was a member
of law review. She
received her bachelor
of science in Biology
from the Pennsylvania
State University
(B.S. 1988).
Ms. Hellenkamp is a
member of the State
Bar of California and
is admitted to practice
in the U.S. Federal
District Courts for
the Southern, Central
and Northern Districts
of California. She
also is admitted to
the bar of the U.S.
Court of Appeals for
the Federal Circuit
and is registered to
practice before the
U.S. Patent and Trademark
Office.
