Ms. Hellenkamp’s practice focuses primarily on general business litigation and intellectual property litigation. In addition, her practice includes counseling on many types of intellectual property issues, including trademark, trade secret, and copyright issues. She also is experienced in negotiating and drafting agreements relating to technology and intellectual property licenses, services, and purchases. Prior to joining Wirtz Hellenkamp, LLP, Ms. Hellenkamp was associate general counsel for Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Carlsbad, California. Prior to that, she was an associate at Cooley Godward, LLP, and at Lyon & Lyon, LLP, focusing on intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution in the area of biotechnology. Ms. Hellenkamp received her juris doctorate from the University of San Diego (J.D. 1996), where she graduated cum laude, Order of the Coif, and was a member of law review. She received her bachelor of science in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University (B.S. 1988). Ms. Hellenkamp is a
